Kidney Cave (26), Point Glorious.

Oliver has been trying my route at Point Glorious, Kidney Cave (26). He is pretty close to getting it now, its a hard burly boulder problem thing. Allan has also worked out the tough crux and is fairly close to ticking it. Here are some pictures I took of Oliver on it a couple of weeks ago. I think the pictures came out quite nicely with my new camera, Canon 550d. Click on the image to open it up full size.

Oliver clipping the first bolt, looking a little scared.

Clipping the second bolt, the start is mainly jugs.

Then it starts getting a little harder. This next two clips are desperate!

This is one of those routes that clipping ends up being a crux move.

Small gastons and side-pulls, Oliver arriving at the crux.

Crux move, two finger crimp out left, and shallow one finger pocket for the right hand.

It gets a bit easier after the crux.

One of the best moves on the climb, super side-pull pinch.

Oliver lining up for the big move to the jug. This is a crux move for oliver.

OOPS, whipper time.
